On August 15, 1603, he was born in Walgrode (probabaly Waldrode, East Prussia; now in Kaliningrad, Russia). On November 11, 1665, he was buried at the city cathedral in Brieg (now Brzeg, Poland).
[Beginning] in 1616, he worked at the mints in Brandenburg, in Westphalia (one year), Mühlhausen [Thuringia] (a year), Altenburg [Thuringia] (half a year), Höxter [North Rhine - Westphalia] (a year), and Saalfeld [Thuringia] (one year). From 1624-30 he was in Dresden, and 1630-34 in Breslau [now Wrocław, Poland]; and beginning in 1650, he served in Brieg as the master of minting for Liegnitz [Legnica, Poland], Brieg, and Wohlau.
(The genealogist's reference material came from the funeral sermons in the Stolberg Collection, which - as of 1989 - could be found in the Duke August Library in Wolfenbüttel (printed catalog), published in four volumes between 1927 and 1934.)
