Biography

Isom Phelps served in the United States Civil War.

Isom was born in 1846. Isom Phelps served in the Missouri Militia of the Union Army in the American Civil War. He married Melinda Jane Douglass on 10 May 1869 in La Plata, Macon, Missouri.
Isom Phelps was a homesteader in Payne County, Oklahoma. Join the Homesteaders Project.

Isom farmed for a while in Missouri and Kansas, then joined the Oklahoma Land Rush on 22 April, 1889 and settled in Payne county where the family remained for his lifetime. He passed away on 9 June, 1922 in Payne County, Oklahoma.

Phelps-3406 and Phelps-118 appear to represent the same person because: Clearly the same person. I adopted the profile Phelps-118 just to merge it with Phelps-3406 where I have added sources and begun work on a narrative biography. I found 118 because he has the correct parents. I will also propose a merge for the wife.
