Mary Phelps, daughter of Noah and Mary was born in Hebron, Connecticut, 9 Feb 1757.[1]
The Phelps Family in America says that the last seven children of Noah and Mary were born in Simsbury, Connecticut. He having removed there in 1746[2] Yet all the birth’s of his ten children were recorded in Hebron, Connecticut.[1]
Research Note
My research has found that Mary Phelps and Joseph Ambury married in November 1779 in Marstow, Herefordshire (England) [3] and baptised a number of children in English Bicknor (Gloucestershire/Herefordshire border, England).
Mary died in English Bicknor in 1807 and was buried on 5th November. [4]

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Mary by comparing test results with other carriers of her ancestors' mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Mary:
I would suggest it is almost unheard of in the 1700's for someone from Connecticut, USA to come over to the UK and marry a Farmer from English Bicknor, Gloucestershire. The couple baptised children in English Bicknor, not America and Joseph Ambery died in English Bicknor.

Could your Mary Phelps/Ambury be connected to the wrong person?
