Biography

Hannah Pickard was born February 3, 1706 in Rowley, Essex County, Massachusetts, the daughter of Samuel Pickard and Elizabeth Hale. [1]

Hannah Pickard married William Jewett June 8, 1727. [2]

Children, born in Littleton, Mass.:

1 Aquila, born April 13, 1728 ; died June 10, 1729.

2 Anna, born Sept. 23, 1729; married Stephen Pingry.

3 Aquila, born Feb. 20, 1730-31 ; married Eunice Houghton.

4 Elizabeth, born March 23, 1731-2 ; married John Pingry.

5 Samuel, born June 23, 1733 ; died Oct. 27, 1746.

6 Hannah, born March 12, 1734-5; married (Pub. Dec. 13, 1776) Stephen Tuttle of Littleton.

7 William, born Feb. 12, 1736; married (Pub. Dec. 14, 1771) Esther Wright of Westford, Mass.

8 Rebecca, born Aug. 4, 1738 ; died Oct. 10, 1740.

9 Jean, born Oct. 18, 1740 ; died Nov. 6, 1740.

10 Maximilian, born June 16, 1741 ; married Rebecca Burpee.

11 Jean (Jane on Littleton Records), born March 6, 1742; married Thomas Treadwell.

12 Thomas, born June 11, 1744, " and lived until the 21st. day and died."

13 Mary, born Sept. 22, 1745.


Hannah Jewett died February 15, 1771 in Littleton, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, at the age of 65 years, 10 days. Burial: Old Burying Ground, Littleton, Middlesex Co., Massachusetts. [3]
