Robert J. Pickard
Robert J. Pickard, 91, died Sept. 6, 2009. He was born in Brockton, Mass., and lived in Vero Beach since 1981. He was a commercial artist, freelancer and former president of Crawley/Pickard Inc., a Boston advertising and public relations firm. He studied at the Boston School of Practical Art and was a graduate of the New England School of Art. He was of Catholic faith. He was a member of the Sons and Daughters of the First Settlers of Massachusetts, a life member of the U.S. Naval Institute at Annapolis, the Rolls Royce Owners Club and the Antique Automobile Club of America. He was a former member of the Greater Boston Coordinating Committee, Boy Scouts of America, Boston Advertising Club and Arundel Yacht Club at Kennebunkport, Maine. He also was a member of the Standish Guards at Plymouth, Mass., the oldest military company in America. Survivors include his brother, Lloyd A. "Chuck" Pickard of Vero Beach. He was preceded in death by sister, Mona Goodwin of Plymouth. SERVICES: Interment will be at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, Mass., at a later date. Arrangements are by Thomas S.
