Biography

Lucinda PICKERELL was born about 1815 in Fauquier County, Virginia and died about 1878. She was the daughter of Levi Pickerell and Susannah Hitt.

Marriage:

Lucinda married on 5 April 1838 in Jackson County, Virginia to Thomas S. MAZE.[1]

Spouse:

Thomas S. MAZE was born about 1814 in Harrison County, Virginia and died about December 1879 in Calhoun County, West Virginia. He was the son of James MAZE and probably Charity STOUT.

Thomas S. MAZE is believed to be the brother of the following:
  1. Beniah MAZE (Born: About 1800); Married: Elizabeth NAYLOR
  2. Joseph MAZE (Born: About 1805; Died: 25 February 1872); Married: 12 September 1833 in Jackson County, Virginia to Mary CALLOW[2]; 1840;[3] 1850[4]
  3. Jonathan MAZE
  4. Mariah MAZE
James MAZE at married Charity STOUT (Born: 1773; Died: 1862).
The notes of Don Norman stated that the first wife of James MAZE is unknown and Charity STOUT was his second wife. Note: Don NORMAN mistakenly identified the wrong Charity STOUT for the wife of James MAZE. In his descendant listing, Don NORMAN identifies her has Charity (STOUT) WILKINSON the daughter of Ezekiel and Sarah (DRAKE) STOUT. This was the wrong individual. That Charity was married to Nathan WILKINSON. The actual marriage record of James MAZE and Charity STOUT does not mention the WILKINSON surname at any time. Furthermore the marriage bond of James MAZE and Charity STOUT has consent from Charity's father, Hezekiah STOUT. James MAZE and Charity STOUT Married on 9 September 1802 in Harrison County, Virginia[5] which means that Charity STOUT could have been the mother of Thomas.
Thomas MAZE is believed to have been the grandson of James MAZE (Born: About 1740 in Ireland; Died: before 10 September 1799 in Kanawha County, Virginia) and Jenny LOVELL
Don NORMAN has a file on the Descendants of James MAZE (born: 1740 in Ireland; Died: 1799 in Kanawha County, Virginia) located on the Hackers Creek Pioneer Descendants, Inc website. (see previous link to go to the RTF about this family.
