In the 1860 census John (age 43), Coal Miner, was in Jefferson, Virginia.[2]
In the 1870 census John (age 55), Farm Laborer, was in Bolivar, Jefferson, West Virginia.[3]
In the 1880 census John (age 62), Farm Laborer, was the married head of household in Harpers Ferry, Jefferson, West Virginia.[4]
John died (age 66) in July 1887 in Harpers Ferry, Jefferson Co., West Virginia.[5][6]
