William Dibbs Pirkle, Sr, son of John and Charity (Dibbs) Pirkle, was born in 1765 in Rockingham County, North Carolina.[1][2]
He married Sarah Cantrell in Jan. 1784 in Rockingham County, North Carolina.[1][2]
He filed an affidavit on 20 March 1846 that stated he was 80 years old. He died between that time and 1850 and was buried at Troublesome Hill Community Cemetery, Williamsburg, Rockingham County, North Carolina. His memorial has biographical material and links to those of family members.[1]
