Biography

Charles Paul Pitre died young.
Charles Paul Pitre, son of Jean Baptiste Pitre and Felicite Daigre, was born on 6 November 1776 in Mordreuc, Bretagne (today Côtes-d'Armor), France, and christened the same day at nearby Pleudihen (today Pleudihen-sur-Rance, Côtes-d'Armor). [1] His godparents were Jan D'aigle and Charlotte Pitre.
He died before 12 Aug 1785 in France, the date his family sailed from France going to Louisiana and he wasn't with them. [2]

Research Notes

According to researcher Marcel Walter Landry, he died on 11 November 1776 at Pleudihen-sur-Rance, Côtes-d'Armor, France. Could not find the burial record in the register for that parish. [3]
