Lawrence Thurman Pitts was born 8 November 1890 in Tennessee. ^[1] He was the son of Robert Emmett Pitts and Hannah Elizabeth Thurman. He married Nellie Mae Wood 1 June 1924 in Hamilton County, Tennessee. ^[2] He passed away 11 February 1975. He was interred in Hamilton Memorial Gardens, Hixson, Hamilton County, Tennessee. ^[1]
