So far as I can figure out, the guy who the internet (but nobody else) calls "Geoffroy Beauclerc" (see below) was Geoffrey de Brionne, Count of Eu, bastard of Duke Richard I. But he gets confused with Geoffrey of Anjou and ours has been merged in.
This William is probably supposed to be Plantagenet-37, since the Poitou title had previously been subordinate to Duke of Aquitaine. Or maybe his uncle William. Somebody on Wikipedia seems to think William FitzEmpress got the title when Count William died, but that seems unlikely as he wasn't kin.
He is the son of Geoffroy Beauclerc and Matilda Normandy. [1]
William is the child of Geoffroy D'anjou and Matilda Beauclerc. [2]

All the info in his bio says he was the son of either Geoffroy Beauclerc or Geoffroy D'anjou, so I disconnected him from being the son of Eudes (Blois) Champagne.
