Biography

Mary Plummer was christened (15 August 1614) Sawbridgeworth, Hertford, England[citation needed]

She married John Barnes on September 12, 1633 at Plymouth.[1][2] Anne Plummer married Henry Samson on February 6, 1635/6. Anderson says, "There is no Plummer family in Plymouth Colony this early, so Mary and Anne may have come on their own or, more likely, as part of some family of a different surname." .[3]

Children of John Barnes and Mary (Plummer) Barnes:[3]
  1. Mary was born about 1640; She married Robert Marshall at Plymouth in 1660.
  2. Jonathan was born about 1642; he married Elizabeth Hedges at Plymouth on January 4, 1665.
  3. Hannah was born about 1644; she received deeds of gift from her father on August 24, 1651 and October 14, 1651.
  4. John was born about 1646; died at Plymouth on December 25, 1648.
  5. Lydia was born at Plymouth on April 24, 1648; in his will, John Barnes instructed Jonathan that he was not to demand "any part of that estate that formerly I gave to my daughter Lyddyah now deceased." There is no source that says she married or had children.

Mary Plummer died at Plymouth on June 2, 1651.[3]

Since John Barnes refers to my "cousin the wife of Henery Samso[n]" in his will, Mary and Anne Plummer may have been cousins or possibly aunt and niece, or another more distant relationship.[3]

Plummer-1728 and Plummer-201 do not represent the same person because: Error. Time to stop today. The relationship wasn't truly known.

Plummer-1728 and Plummer-201 appear to represent the same person because: I was trying to add Mary as Annes sister, and accidently created a new profile. If you could be so kind as to merge them so Anne and Mary will be listed as siblings. There is proof of their relationship on Page 101 ( John Barnes ) from New England, The Great Migration and The Great Migration Begin
