Hermann was born on September 30, 1858 in the town of Zülkenhagen in Kreis Neustettin of the Pommern Province in Preussen(Prussia) to Johann Pommerening and Karoline (Kleist) Pommerening. He was the fourth of their 6 children.[1]

On July 6, 1888, at the age of 29, Hermann married Hedwig Gems (1862-1926) in Kreis Stettin of the Pommern Province in Preussen(Prussia).[1]

Death
On October 19, 1933, at the age of 75, Hermann passed away in the town of Nemitz in Kreis Stettin of the Pommern Province in Preussen(Prussia).[2]
