Biography

John Porter was born in Hampshire, England.

John was probably born during 1762 at the small village of West Tisted, Hampshire, England.^[1][2] He was baptised on 2 Jan 1763 at West Tisted, Hampshire, England, the son of Thomas Porter and Ann. ^[1]

In 1841 he was aged 75 and still living at West Tisted, occupied as a servant. ^[3]

His death was registered at the nearby Alresford Union Registry Office during Apr-Jun 1842 as being aged 78. ^[2] John was buried at West Tisted on 5 May 1842. ^[4]

Birth

As John was baptised on 2 Jan 1763 he would have been born late in 1762. He was baptised at West Tisted and was very likely born nearby.^[1]

Death

In 1841 he was living at West Tisted and his death the following year was recorded during Apr-Jun at the nearby Alresford Union Registration Office.^[2] John was buried at West Tisted on 5 May 1842^[4] and as he had lived his life at West Tisted he very likely died there^[3] He obviously died before 5 May 1842.
