Aubrey Porter, of St. Edmundsbury, married Kesia Hervey, daughter of Sir Thomas Hervey (Harvey) of Ickworth, Suffolk.
Aubrey Porter's brother-in-law, John Hervey, was an effective promoter of is interests. "Hervey recorded in his diary that on 14 April 1717 'my brother Porter died at his house in Little Marlborough Street, and was buried near his mother. . . in St. Giles's chancel the 20th following. . .
