Biography
Katherine was the daughter of Walter Porterfield of Comiston. Her estimated date of birth is based on her marriage record.[1] She passed away in 1693. Her brother Patrick Porterfield succeeded to Comiston.[2]
She married Alexander Nisbet of Craigentenny on 10 Nov 1665. [3][2]. They had the following children:

- Jean, married Alexander Gordon of Wodhall[1]
- Emilia, who married Reverend Mr. Hepburn[1]
