Biography

When Gladys Marie Post was born on March 23, 1925,^[1] in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, her father, Andrew, was 38, and her mother, Parilee, was 34.^[2] She married at least three people - let me explain. She first married to Wilburn Richard "Dick" Huitt (1918–2008) on January 22, 1928;^[3] their children are:

• Alice Faye Huitt Preston (1944–2017)
• Jerry Richard Huitt, Sr. (1948–2004)

"She married and divorced (2) Cletus Gillum (1920–2006); no children; she then remarried Wilburn Richard "Dick" Huitt who she later divorced and then married Louie R. McLain (1920–1965). This marriage produced two children:"

• Nadine "Lynn" McLain Shiew
• Roger Allen McLain

She died on March 12, 1997, in Muskogee, Oklahoma, at the age of 71, and was buried in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma.^[4]
