Biography

Bazel was born in Ninety SIx District, South Carolina about 1783. His parents were Bazel Pitts Prather and Priscilla. His mother is alleged to have been a Swearingen. No evidence has been shown to prove that. The area where the Prather family lived became Laurens District in 1785.

Bazel was named in the second will of his father in July of 1832 in Laurens District, South Carolina.

He passed away in 1835.
