Biography
Edward Preston immigrated to New England as a child during the Puritan Great Migration (1621-1640).
Edward Preston was baptized Nov. 14, 1619 , Chesham, Buckinghamshire, England, son of William and Elizabeth Preston.[1]
The son of WILLIAM & ELIZABETH (SALE) PRESTON, he married Margaret (Hurst) Preston. Children:
- William PRESTON, born 30 November 1651 at Boston, Suffolk, Massachusetts.
- Mary PRESTON, born 30 November 1651 at Boston, Suffolk, Massachusetts.
- Hannah PRESTON, born 14 September 1653 at Boston, Suffolk, Massachusetts, died May 1669 at New Haven, New Haven, Connecticut.
- Elizabeth PRESTON, born 29 September 1655 at New Haven, New Haven, Connecticut.
- Abigail PRESTON, born January 1664 at New Haven, New Haven, Connecticut.
- Samuel PRESTON, born June 1668 at New Haven, New Haven, Connecticut, died before 19 January 1693 at New Haven, New Haven, Connecticut. [2]
Edward died 1699 New Haven New Haven County Connecticut[3][4]and was buried Center Church on the Green Churchyard, New Haven CT. No tombstone remains.
Edward married Margaret Hurst 1 JAN 1640[5]
Emigration 1635 ship Christian to New England [citation needed] (Parents on the Truelove in 1635 per Anderson, but Edward not listed.)
