He married Vonna Neal Randall on 18 Apr 1934[1] and the couple had the following known children:
Mildred Catherine Prestwood was born 11 Feb 1935.[1][5]
Judge Tyson Prestwood Jr was born 06 Jun 1936.[1] He died 16 Feb 2022 in Jackson, Mississippi.[6]
Franklin Daniel "Frank" Prestwood was born 07 Nov 1938 in Paul, Coffee County, Alab ama.[1]
Judge died of tuberculosis[1] 02 Dec 1946 in Red Level, Covington County, Alabama[1][4] and is buried in Fairmount Baptist Church Cemetery, Red Level, Covington County, Alabama.[1][7][8]
Mr. Judge Tyson Prestwood, aged 35, died at the home of his parents, Mr & Mrs. W. T. Prestwood, on Route 1, Red Level, Monday morning. Mr. Prestwood had been ill for 3 1/2 years. He was a member of the Baptist Church and is survived by his parents, Mr & Mrs. W. T. Prestwood, 2 sons, J. T. & Franklin, and 1 daughter Mildred Prestwood, of Rt 1, Red Level; 5 brothers, Charlie-Brewton, U.L.-Chattanooga, TN, Talma-Red Level, James-Brewton, Athey-Red Level, 3 sisters, Mrs. Sam Jones-Auburn, Mrs L.R. Hilty-Grand Island, NB, & Mrs. Ed Peavy-Brewton. Funeral services were held from Fairmount Baptist Church in Red Level on Tuesday morning at 10:30, Rev. C.O. Stewart of River Falls officiating.[9]
