Elijah was born in 1832, the son of James and Lavisa McCoy Price. Elijah married Sarah C. Mixon. In 1870 they are enumerated on the federal census in Winn Parish, Louisiana. [1] They had children: John, James, Elizabeth, Elijah, martha, Sam, Sarah and Minnie. He served as a Private in Gray's 28th Infantry Regiment Company of the Confederate Army from Louisiana. He was a farmer. Elijah died 1925 and is buried in the Liberty Hill Cemetery, Bienville Parish, Louisiana. [2]
