Family records state, Anson was the child of Dr Hiram Hayward Pringle and Martha Foster. According to Clara Pringle, her brother, Anson Pringle was "the black sheep of the family. Anson passed away about 1940.

Clara Pringle described when Anson arrived at the farm in Belhaven (Southeast corner of 5th Concession and Lockie Sideroad). She looked up from washing dishes and out the window. She said with a shock, "Anson..." And there he was walking up the driveway. He borrowed some money and drove his car to Sutton for some repairs. When the mechanic finished the repairs, Anson said, "OK. Let me test drive the car around the block." He left without paying and never came back (ca. 1935?).

A few years later, he called his brother George, in Buffalo hoping to meet. George agreed, but Anson never showed up at the meeting. That was the last time anyone heard of Anson Pringle.
