Biography

Ernest was born on October 8, 1888[1] in Prince Edward Island. He was the son of Albert Prowse and Catherine Eldridge. The family moved from Prince Edward Island to Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, first living in Hawkesbury[2] and then later in Sydney.[3]

In 1911, Ernest was living with his parents and siblings, and working as a machinist in Sydney, Nova Scotia.[4]
