Biography

William Quarmby.[1]

He appears on the 1841 census, age 8, in the household of his parents John and Ann Quarmby.[2] James Marker found no death for him.[3] JoAnn Gibson believes he was the William Quarmby who died 1st Quarter 1845 at Ashton-under-Lyne.[4]

He has been speculated as the William Henry Quamby listed in early LDS records at Nauvoo but there was another William Henry Quarmby who came from England to America through the Port of New York.[5]

Born Abt 1833 (age 8 in 1841). Ashton-under-Lyne, Lancashire, England.[6][7]

Census: 1841 Delamer Street, Ashton-under-Lyne, Lancashire, England.[8]

Died Probable: 1st Quarter 1845. Ashton-under-Lyne, Lancashire, England.[9]

Immigration: Questionable: Jun 1845. New Orleans, Orleans Parish, Louisiana.[10]
