Some of her children while born with surname Pew, took on the name West after she married Frederick Benjamin West, but without adoption or name change. Mae was only true "West" child.
Alice passed away in 1976 [3]and was interred in the Valley View Memorial Gardens, Surrey, Greater Vancouver Regional District, British Columbia, Canada[4]
