Note on the name. The NSW BMD records give two names - "Allan" on the Birth Certificate, and "Allen" on the Death Certificate. "Allan" is correct. This is the name entered into the Family Bible in the hand of his father, Walter Richard and it also appears in the Death Certificates of his parents.
