Elizabeth (Ransome) Elliott Dudley was a Virginian.
Elizabeth was born circa 1670, possibly at Lancaster County (after 1669 Middlesex), Virginia. (Her father's will was proved in 1674 at Middlesex County) Elizabeth was the daughter, and only child of George Ransome and Margaret Gore (as her 2nd).[1] Her last name is spelled "Ransone" in The William and Mary Quarterly.[1]
Elizabeth married three times.
She married, as her 1st, to Major Robert Dudley, Sr. (d Oct 20, 1701).[1]
She married, as her 2nd, to Robert Dudley, Jr, (b 1675, will Mar 9, 1709/10, pvd Aug 7, 1710).[1]
She married on September 21, 1710, as her 3rd, to Thomas Elliott.[1][2]

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Elizabeth by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
Mitochondrial DNA test-takers in the direct maternal line:
Thomas Elliott administered the estate of James Dudley, and as guardian of his minor children, Mary & William, was also called their "Next Friend" but related how?

Elizabeth birth date I feel has to be incorrect because she was born before the Gore brothers and that is not possible if her mother married her father after her husband Gore died.
It is the same Elizabeth Ransone. But its the wrong Elliott marriage. Its from a Familysearch Pedigree file and is wishful thinking. They need to be set as rejected matches or the other Elizabeth Ransone needs to be disconnected from Samuel and Caleb Elliot and merged into this one.
