  1. ) Page 709:. Captain William Rathbone, son of William, born in Connecticut. Married Jerusha Beebe about 1773. He died in the autumn of 1822. She died about 1821. His father died when he was two years old. They resided in New London, CT, there property was of much value, consisting of shipping and other property, destroyed by the British in the burning of New London during the Revolutinary War.
