Johannes was born about 1699. His parents were Johann Bernhardt Reber and Anna Maria (Ahl) Reber .
He married Maria Magdelena Desgranges about 1727 in Germany. Her parents were Isaac Desgranges and Susanna Girard.
He received a warrant for 100 acres in York County on 10 Sep 1750. It was surveyed 302.04 acres on 3 Jun 1759 (patented to Jonas Reber on 16 Nov 1809.) [1]
His will (The Will of John Raver) was written 15 Oct 1759. Translated: John Raver of Colorus Township, very sick. To my wife Mary Matelenay all book debts and power over all grain or wheat that is in the barn, but she must pay all debts that I owe. To son John my bay mare and colt and my plantation whereon I live for 150 pounds to be pain among my eight children. Also my son shall pay his mother yearly 20 bushels of wheat, four bushels of rye, a quarter of an acre with flax etc. Son to pay his brother Abraham one cow with calf when he comes to his age and one cow and calf to his sister Matalenay when she comes to her age. The mother shall hae all the household goods as long as she lives. Probated 26 Feb 1760. Executors: wife and son Hans Raver. Witnesses: John Mayer, Philip Jacob Smith, and Michael Tanner.
He passed in Feb 1760 in Pennsylvania.
Specifically, Three Johannes Rebers immigrated about 1750. This Johannes (Reber-233) went to York County. Bernhardt's son (Reber-61) went to Berks County. The third Johannes settled in what is now Lehigh County.
