There is no evidence that this person, who was born and married in Maryland, is a son of Caspar Riedt/Reed/Rieth (1738-1804) and Elizabetha Magdalena Schafer from Berks County Pennsylvania. Furthermore, the marriage of this person is in the Episcopal Church. The Pennsylvania Rieths, were Lutheran, which is true of most all German-speaking Palatines. And the few Germans who weren't Lutheran (or Dunker, Anabaptist, Moravian, etc) were Catholic, not Episcopal. Please disconnect from the parents.
