Biography

Myrtle Lily Reeves was born on March 2, 1912 at Bean Tree, Wiangarie, New South Wales, Australia. Her parents were John Reeves and Annie Harvey who had emigrated from London, England the previous year. Myrtle was the first of their children to be born in Australia. Myrtle was known as Meg. She went with her family to England in 1920 and returned to Australia the next year.
