Biography

Lucious R Reid was born on November 6, 1882,[1] in Mississippi. He was the son of Jesse Reid and Mary Boyd. He was the 2nd child or 13 children.

He Married Minnie Emma Cothern (1891-1965) . They had 5 children.

  1. Saint Elmo Reid (1907-1986)
  2. Pauline Reid Price, Jeter (1910-1968)
  3. Thelda Reid' Thompson (1912-1994)
  4. John Reid (1914-1974)
  5. Winnie Reid Thompson (1915-1987)

Lucious was a Farmer. On his WWI Drave Card, he was farming in Jayess, lawrence Co., Mississippi on September 12, 1918. He gave a discription of being Short, of medium build with Blue eyes and brown hair.[2]

They were in Jayess, Mississippi in 1935 and were living in Rual Lincoln, Mississippi on China Grove Road in 1940. He was a Farming with a 4th grade Education. He owned his farm with a real estate value of $2,000. His married daughter Pauline Price-26 and grand daughter Marilyn Price-3 were living with them in 1940.[3]

He died on February 13, 1948, at the age of 65 in Lawrence County, Mississippi, and was buried in the Providence Baptist Church Cemetery.[1]
