Thomas was still alive after 1751. "Proceeding to the house of Robert Renix who was not home, they captured Mrs. Renix and her five children, William, Robert, Thomas, Joshua and Betsy. At the house of Thomas Smith, they shot and scalped Smith and Renix. . . ."[3]
Thomas was released from captivity. "Page 360.--24th August, 1764. George Mathews' bond (with John Paxton), as guardian (appointed) to Thomas Rennix, orphan of Robert Rennix." [4]
"One of the earliest and most important settlements had been at Frankford, ten miles NW of Lewisburg. Col. John Stuart, Robert McClanahan, William and Thomas Renick, William Hamilton and others settled there in 1769." [5]
"He [Thomas] went with his older brother, William, to Greenbrier and shared in his history there. His will dated May 18, 1779 is on record in Greenbrier [Will Book #1, pp. 44-45. hlm] He mentions his beloved wife Feby and his children Mary, Robert, Richard and William who appear to be unmarried. His wife and brother William are appointed executors and the will is witnessed by Archer Mathews, Richard Mathews, and John Mathews, evidently his cousins, sons of Capt. John Mathews." [6]
The wife of Thomas Renick is listed on the 1782 Greenbrier County [West] Virginia Personl Property Tax List in "Mr. Wm. Bunch's List" as Pheby Penick along with William Rinick, Richard and John Mathews, and Samp. Archer.
Feeby Renick and her brother-in-law, William, are listed in court records in May 1784 appearing to collect a debt. Ref: Robert Renick via internet.
Thomas and Feby Renicks eldest son, Robert, was born 1766 and d. 23 Oct 1828. He married Mary Hamilton and was a Justice of Peace along the Mad River in Ohio near what is now Springfield. Ref: Robert Renick via internet.
I have no further information on Richard or Mary other than they were recorded in Thomas' will.
William Renick married Phoebe Titus, daughter of Ebenezer Titus and his 2d wife, Phoebe Teller. Ebenezer's son, Joseph, by his 1st wife, Jerusha Rodgers, married Elizabeth Mathews, sister of all the above mentioned Mathews. Ebenezer's 3d wife was Rachel (Mathews) Bowen, another sister to all of the above named Mathews.
William Renick and Ebenezer Titus both witnessed the above Richard Mathews' will of Oct 1799 in Robertson Co TN.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Thomas by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Thomas:
