Francis Reynolds was born 15 AUG 1684 in Burlington, Burlington County, New Jersey. He was reported married to Elizabeth Acton, daughter of Benjamin, the 29th day of the 10th month (December) 1712.[1]
Francis’ birth and the births of his six oldest children are recorded in the Quaker records of Concord MM, PA.[2] He inherited the 290 acre homestead from his father, Henry, and resided there.
Francis’s will was dated 3 Jan 1760, at Chichester, and bequeathed to his loving wife, Elizabeth, one third his personal estate, profits of one third of his real estate, one room in the mansion house, two feather beds and furniture, all the kitchen furniture, a house and a cow. He left half of his plantation (290 acres) to his son, Henry, and the other half, along with the mansion house, to his son Francis. His sons John and Samuel received 8 acres of land in Chichester Twp. The rest of his real and personal estate was to be sold and divided among his seven children and his daughter Prudence’s children.
His will was proved January 20, 1760, thus he died between January 3 and January 20.
