Biography

Captain Benjamin Franklin Richardson was a Marion's Raider Patriot, and he was also known as Captain Benjamin Richardson of Whitesand.

Capt. Benjamin Richardson was born in 1740 in Tyrrell County, North Carolina, United States. His parents were John Luke Richardson, Old Cheraw and Effie Richardson. He died circa 1820 in Whitesand, Pearl River Co, MS, in what had been Marion County and was buried in Whitesand Baptist Cemetery, Poplarville, Pearl River County, Mississippi, United States.

Capt. Seems that if Benjamin Franklin Richardson, Jr. (Richardson-6725) has a son named Benjamin Franklin Richardson (Richardson-6606), then Richardson-6606 should be Benjamin Franklin Richardson, III.

Richardson-25592 and Richardson-6725 appear to represent the same person because: clearly intended to be the same person, attached to the same wife.

Richardson-25592 and Richardson-6725 do not represent the same person because: Thank you for the proposed merge. From what I have seen, these two profiles have different mothers for Benjamin Richardson. I am not sure which is correct.

Looks like we need to add the earlier wife Lucy Jones and split off the first three children and assign them to her. Per E. Russ Williams there is a will in Edgecombe Co. NC showing her as Lucy Jones Richardson.
