Zial Riggs was buried in Wellsville Cemetery, Wellsville, Utah.
Azial or Zial as he was fondly called by family and friends, was born November 4 1824 near the village of Chester, Hampden County, Massachusetts. He was the second child and first son of Amasa Shurtliff Riggs and Marvilla Litchfield. He was a strong and healthy child. He had large brown eyes and black hair. His skin was rather dark. He could have been mistaken for an Indian baby. In fact he did have Indian blood in this veins. (the family has the understanding that Grandfather Zial said his father was a quarter blood Indian. The Decendant of Chief Massasoit.
Passed away in 1909 and buried in the Wellsville Cemetery in Wellsville, Cache County, Utah.
