Biography
Ellis Virdan was born in 1901. He was the son of Hampton Roberts and Nancy Butler. He passed away in 1985. Smith County marriage records show Virda Roberts married Pearlie Meadows.

Ellis Virdan Roberts, 83, of Magnolia died Aug. 21 at Southwest Regional Medical Center in McComb.
The Simpson County native was a member of Magnolia First Baptist Church and was a retired male nurse aide at the Mississippi State Hospital at Whitfield.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Aug 22 at Mims Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Farris Smith and Rev. Evon Ingram officiating. Mims Mitchell Funeral Home of Magee were in charge of arrangements and burial was in Calvary Presbyterian Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Pearlie Estelle Roberts of Magnolia, two sons, J.O. Roberts of Jackson and Billie G. Roberts of Ft. Worth, Texas, one daughter, Mrs. Lillian Lang of Magnolia, one sister, Mrs. Beulah Dilmore of Pascagoula, one brother, Andrew Roberts of Flowood, 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers included Sammy Lang, Jerry Lang, Edward Roberts, Duane Roberts, Jimmy Roberts, Robert Bounds, Gary Ainsworth and Tommy Ainsworth.
