Thomas Roberts was born about 1636 (he deposed that he was age 25 in 1661), probably in Dover, Strafford County, New Hampshire. He was the son of Thomas Roberts and Rebecca (Unknown) Roberts. ^[1]

He was married to Mary Leighton in Dover before 1662. She was the daughter of Thomas Leighton and Joanna Silsby Leighton^{[1] [2][3]}
