Daniel Robinson was born to William M. Robinson and Narcissus C. Smith[1] 21 Feb 1873 in Mississippi,[2] died 07 May 1931 in Taylorsville and was buried 07 May 1931 in Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery.[3][4]
In 1918, Dan was described as being tall and of slender build with blue eyes and dark hair.[2]
On 24 Jul 1895, while he was still single and living in Taylorsville, Smith County, Mississippi, Dan filed a homestead claim (application #29016) for the SW 1/4 of the SE 1/4 and the SE 1/4 of the SW 1/4 (~80 acres) in Section 7, Township 10 N Range 14W, land that adjoined property he obtained and settled on in January of 1893 that was the E 1/2 of the SE 1/3 of S7 T10N R14W. The claim was finalized 19 Jan 1901 when Dan was 27 years old and had a wife and one child (my great grandmother Mollie was born earlier that month), and he received certificate # 16018 for the claim.[5]
