Biography

Joseph, son of John Rockwell and Elizabeth Weed of Stamford, Connecticut, was b. about 1670; d. 1714; m. about 1706 Mary.^[1]

On 28 April 1719, Jonathan Rockwell appeared in court to gain guardianship over the children (Jonas, Simeon, Noah, and Hannah) of Joseph Rockwell, decd. Joseph's widow had remarried to a man with no estate and Jonathan Rockwell wanted to protect the estate of the children.^[2]
