Biography

Robert Rogers parents and origins are unknown. He was probably born about 1780. He came to the Cherokee Nation and married Lucy Cordery about 1806. They were the parents of Catherine, Nancy, Robert, Jr., John, and James. The family, including married daughters Catherine and Nancy, emigrated to Indian Territory as "Old Settlers" in 1829. [1] Robert's death date is unknown. Lucy appears on the 1851 Old Settler Roll living in Going Snake District with several grandchildren. [2]
