Biography

When John Aspinwall Roosevelt was born on July 27, 1840, in Poughkeepsie, New York, his father, Isaac, was 50 and his mother, Mary, was 30. He married Ellen Murray Crosby on June 6, 1866, in his hometown. They had two children during their marriage. He died on March 11, 1909, at the age of 68, and was buried in Hyde Park, New York.
