iii. Lemuel W. Root; b. 15 Sep 1884 at Clearfield, Pennsylvania; m. Carrie L Weir 10 May 1904 at Clearfield, Pennsylvania; d. 24 Sep 1914 at Clearfield, Clearfield, Pennsylvania, at age 30.
iv. Virginia May Root; b. 2 Sep 1891 at Clearfield, Pennsylvania; m. Melvin Owens; d. 30 Apr 1964 at Clearfield, Clearfield, Pennsylvania, at age 72.

Berwindale
'Ruel P. Root died ar 6:15 a.m. today, Dec 28. Funeral services will be held at residence of his daughter Mrs. Heber H. Straw, near Berwindale, at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday. Dec. 31 Interment at Hagarty's Cross Roads cemetery.
Berwinsdale - A slight change in funeral arrangements for Ruel P. Root, well known resident of this vicinity, who died early Saturday was announced by family members this morning. Instead of the services being held at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Heber H. Straw, near here, at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, the cortege will leave the Straw residence at 1:30 p.m. and move to the Bethel M. E. Church at Hegarty's crossroads where services will be held at 2 o'clock Tuesday, Dec. 31, with Rev. O. L. Gordon officiating. Interment will be made in the Hegarty's Cross Roads Cemetery.
