Biography

Fannie Rothenberg was born around 1878^[1] in Mołodziatycze^[2] by the name Finkel Rotenberg.^[3] She immigrated to the USA around 1908.^[4] She passed away on February 2, 1952 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.^[5]

1. ↑ Derived from age on Chelm marriage record in JRI-Poland. This birth year does not align with the birth date appearing in most records of March 25, 1884. This could be due to the Chelm record being incorrect -- there is little else linking Fannie's family to Chelm and most of the Lichsteins hail from Krasnystaw -- but it's equally likely it was misreported at the time of her immigration, and the new date stuck.
2. ↑ She was born in Mołodziatycze, but her family dwelled in or near Grabowiec, based on reading of the Chelm marriage record in JRI-Poland.
