Wife, Ann, and Christein Swinck, the house I now live in, and their living off the plantation for two years, with my son Johnson, working the farm. Wife also to have 3 cows, 6 sheep, 2 beds with their furniture; also 1/2 the beds that may be in house, including coverlids, blankets, sheets, pillows and household and kitchen furniture; also 1/2 the linen cloth. Son, Johnson, wind mill, cutting box, and knives, and as much of the barn implements he chooses; also ploughs, harrows, new sled and grain, and 1/2 the flax. Remainder of the personal estate to be sold. My plantation to 2 sons, Thomas and Johnson, bounded by lands of Aaron Van Sickel, John Cowdrick, Aaron Warford and others, and thay are to pay $700. Son, Abner, $100. Son Stephen, $100. Daughter, Mary, wife of Samuel Large, $200. Daughter, Anna, wife of Elisha Dolley, $200. Daughter, Jerusa Coolback, $100. Executors - sons, Johnson and Thomas. @NI3123@ NOTEAbsalom moved from Hopewell, Hunterdon Co., NJ to Baptistown in Hunterdon Co before 1753. He served as a trustee at the Baptist Church in Baptistown around 1764. He ran a tavern in Frenchtown during 1769 and was a tax assessor in Kingwood Tp in 1772. He served as a quartermaster during the Revolution under Col. Beavers. Absalom purchased 300 acres of land just below Baptistown prior to 1780.
