Biography

Marie Geneviève Sabourin was born on 14 Feb 1709 and was baptized the next day in Saint-Joachim-de-la-Pointe-Claire parish in Pointe-Claire. She was the daughter of Jacques Sabourin and his first wife Marie Jeanne Aumay Dumais. Godparents at Genevieve's baptism were Claude Aumay and Marie Geneviève Sabourin. At age 27, Genevieve married François Cadieux at L'Annoncion parish in Oka. Geneviève died at age 35 on 2 Mar 1764 in Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue parish on Ile de Montréal; she was buried the next day in the parish cemetery.
