Biography

Pappy always told us this tale when he talked about his youth. He was born on the boat in Toulan, France on the way to America. And he had 22 siblings or so and some sets of twins.

Now doing genealogy have discovered that his mother (Rosa Guida-24) and father (Luigi Salvatore-89) had moved from Italy to Le Seyne, Toulan, France around 1899 where he and his 3 older brothers were born. His father was the first to come to America in 1907. His mother with the four sons, Pappy was 7 months old, when she set sail for America and also arrived in 1907. They all came through Ellis Island where our family has added their name to be inscribed on the "Wall of Honor" by 6 Jun 2018 and their picture has been added to "The American Flag of Faces".

This Biography was written by Louise Ann (Salvatore-85) aka Louann Halpin his granddaughter via Louis Carl (Salvatore-86)
