Note N12109Find A Grave Memorial # 77622811 FROM THE TENNESSEAN NASHVILLE, TN MONDAY 29 AUG 1966 Mrs. Tempie Lou Gentry - 2212 Carter Ave. Saturday evening, Aug. 27, 1966, at a local infirmary. Survived by husband, Rev. George W. Gentry; four daughters, Mrs. Dave Rawls, Mrs. Ray Cox, Mrs. Frances Howell and Mrs. McCoy Adamson, all of Nashville; four sons, William McKinley Gentry, Ernest Gentry, both of Nashville, Welcome Gentry, Lewisburg,Tenn., Fred Gentry, Smyrna; one brother, Graydon Sanders, Shelbyville,Tenn.; 26 grandchildren; a number of great-grandchildren. Remains rest at the Funeral Home of Phillips-Robinson Co., where funeral services will be conductede this Monday afternoon at 1 o'clock, Rev. Don Clark will officiate. Officials of Parkwood Cumberland Presbyterian Church will serve as honorary pallbearers. Active pallbearers: William M. Gentry, Morris Gentry, David Rawls, Jr., Marvin Ryan, J.E. Gentry, George Howell, Dennis Adamson and Eddie Howell. Interment Simpson Cemetery, Bedford County. Phillips-Robinson Co., directors. FROM THE BANNER NASHVILLE, TN MONDAY 29 AUG 1966 Services for Mrs. Tempie Lou Gentry, 82, of 2212 Carter Ave., who died Saturday at a local infirmary of a cerebral hemorrhage, were today at Phillips-Robinson Funeral Home. The Rev. Don Clark, pastorof Parkwood Cumberland Presbyterian Church, officiated. Burial was in Simpson Cemetery, Brdford County. Born in Bedford County, she was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Doc Sanders. She had lived in Nashville about 35 years. In 1900 she was married to the Rev. George W. Gentry, a retired Cumberland Presbyterian minister, who survives. Mrs. Gentry was a member of Parkwood Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Other survivors are four sons, William McKinley Gentry and Ernest Gentry, both of Nashville; Welcome Gentry, Lewisburg; and Fred Gentry, Smyrna; four daughters, Mrs. Maude Rawls, Mrs Lerline Cox, Mrs. Frances Howell and Mrs. Marie Adamson, all of Nashville; 38 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.
