Thomas Sandy and Ann Merriwether(?) are the parents of Vincent and William is not proven, and if Vincent and William are brothers is not proven.
After this wife died (Widow Brown), Thomas married Ann. John Brown and Ann Sandy were executors of estate of Thomas, inventory only available.
However, John Brown petitioned the court for custody of the two children (John Sandy and Hester Sandy), saying that the widow (Ann) was not able to educate them properly. John Sandy was to be a cooper, Hester Sandy to learn to sew and knit and both were to learn proper English. (John and Hester must have been the Widow Brown's children from first marriage to ? Brown and taken care of by Thomas.)
Not proven, but I suspect the children of his (Thomas) second marriage were: Uriah Sandy b. abt. 1726 Westmoreland Co., VA, Vincent Sandy b. abt. 1728 William Sandy b. 1731 Nancy M. Sandy who died September 1831, Nacy states in her will she is the sister of Uriah.
Vincent Sandy b. 1728 Feb. 22, 1742 apprenticed to be a carpenter (Westmoreland Co., VA, Order Book 1739-43 Page 185).
Vincent Sandy married Jemima Marmaduke who died on Feb. 1759 in Westmoreland Co., VA. (un-sourced)
Christopher Marmaduke (her father) and Daniel Marmaduke bond of Administration, Order Book 1758-61, Page 48 John Robinson appointed guardian for infant orphans of Vincent Sandy, CEC, Feb. 26, 1760 (Westmoreland Co, Order Book, 1758-61, Page 105). [1]
