Biography

Hannah was born about 1753 at Salisbury, Massachusetts.

She married Jabez Merrill with a marriage notice filed on 6 May, 1775 at New Gloucester, now Maine. They were the parents of seven known children, all born at Turner, now Maine:

1. Martha H Merrill, b. 25 Oct 1776, d. 8 Mar 1853 at Dixfield, Maine;
2. Hannah Merrill b. 11 Jul 1778, d. 5 Jan 1862 at Turner;
3. Anna Merrill b. 1 May 1870, d. 29 Apr 1876 at Palmyra, Maine;
4. Jabez Merrill, Jr. b. 9 Apr 1782, d. 19 Aug 1857 at Turner, Maine;
5. Moses Merrill b. 23 Mar 1784, d. 2 Mar 1859;
6. Dorcas Merrill b. 27 Apr 1786, d. 12 May 1853;
7. Mary 'Polly' Merrill b. 28 Mar 1758, d. 16 Jan 1857 at Turner.
